ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
I-SHEA – is an international performing/recording artist, self identified global citizen, vocalist/emcee and percussionist; and currently the artist in residence for First Generation/Ubuntu. She is also a member of The Gaslight Tinkers – African, Caribbean, Funk, Reggae, and Latin Grooves meets traditional fiddle music. It’s the genre bending future of the music of the past.
Tony Vacca – is an American percussionist specializing in jazz and an early innovator in world music. He incorporates percussion instruments from a world of traditions that includes African, Caribbean, Asian and Middle-Eastern influences, to which he adds some of his spoken word and rhythm poetry.

The Performance Project is an arts community of many ages and ancestries that engages young people in intensive artistic training, inter-generational mentoring, leadership development, and community building through the arts.
